Baseball Recap: Dover Extends Winning Streak to Five

Dover won against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Longhorns beat the Lookeba-Sickles Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-5. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Dover's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will face off against Pond Creek-Hunter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they will take on Riverside Indian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
