Hannah Youn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 22 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds. Emily Salas-Aviles was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five assists and five boards.
Parkdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Eleanor Roosevelt came up short against Douglass on Friday and fell 63-56.
Despite the loss, Eleanor Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: sophomore McKenzie D'Antignac went 10 of 20 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds. D'Antignac continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Brandon, who posted ten points and five boards.
Parkdale's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.3 points per game. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Parkdale has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 38.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Eleanor Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
