Hedgesville is a perfect 10-0 against Martinsburg since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Maggie Boyer was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Boyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexie Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Martinsburg had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Musselman on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 14th.

Martinsburg also got a great performance from Madison Rogers as she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

Martinsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Musselman only posted an OBP of .333.

Hedgesville's loss dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Martinsburg, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 5-18.
