Baseball Recap: Vinemont's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Vinemont had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Locust Fork Hornets as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ryne Dalton spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit.

On the hitting side, Hayden Robinson was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Henderson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Vinemont pushed their record up to 23-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Locust Fork, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Vinemont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 victory against Dora on the 3rd. Locust Fork has also already played their next contest (against Southeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
