Basketball Recap: Indian River Comes Up Short

Indian River has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 76-40 defeat at the hands of the Lowville Red Raiders on Wednesday. The Wolves were probably out for revenge after losing 74-50 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Indian River's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lowville, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Indian River will host Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian River is facing Watertown at the right time seeing as Watertown is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lowville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lowville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully South Jefferson likes a good challenge.
