Basketball Recap: Darby's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Darby can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over the Victor Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-22 back in December of 2024.

Victor's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Pollan, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Asia Parks was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Darby's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Victor, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Darby has already played their next game (against Anaconda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Victor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-35 defeat against Hot Springs on the 1st.
