            Volleyball Recap: Lovejoy Leopards vs. Plano East Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Lovejoy was the  2-0 winner over Plano East when they last played one another  back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Leopards fell just short of the Panthers by a score of  2-1 on Friday.
 When it comes to explaining why Lovejoy lost, don't look at  Kenzie Rogers. Despite the final result, she  had 16  digs and three  aces.
 Plano East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dakota Huynh, who  had 13  digs and seven  assists. That's the most  assists  Huynh has posted  over her last eight  games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Megan Nguyen, who  had 15 assists and nine  digs.
Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Plano East, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season.
 Lovejoy has already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  win against Reagan on the 29th. As for Plano East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-0  victory against Cedar Park on the 29th.
