Football Game Preview: United Christian Academy Eagles vs. California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs

The United Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, United Christian Academy came up short against Academy of Careers & Exploration and fell 49-42. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, California School for the Deaf-Riverside ended up a good deal behind Florida School for the Deaf & Blind on Saturday and lost 32-14. The loss put an end to the Cubs' undefeated start to the season.

United Christian Academy will have to contain Morgan Hawkins as he made an impact in California School for the Deaf-Riverside's last game. He picked up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hawkins was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.

United Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

United Christian Academy took a serious blow against California School for the Deaf-Riverside when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 60-8. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
