Baseball Recap: Durango Gets the Win

While Durango's victory against Kirtland Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Durango sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over Kirtland Central on Thursday. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Landin Padilla was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan White, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

The win got Durango back to even at 1-1. As for Kirtland Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Durango wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-0 victory against Aztec on the 21st. As for Kirtland Central, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Uintah on the 21st.
