Recap: Eaton Reds vs. Holy Family Tigers

The Eaton Reds lost against the Holy Family Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Eaton took a serious blow against Holy Family, falling 73-42. Eaton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eaton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tayla Wiedeman, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Wiedeman scored a full 40.5% of Eaton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Reuter, who scored 9 points.

Essynce Contreraz was on fire for Holy Family: she scored 23 points along with 8 steals and 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Gracie Ward, who scored 14 points.

Eaton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Holy Family, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaton will challenge Kent Denver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kent Denver has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last three matchups. As for Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against Resurrection Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Resurrection Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
