Newark is a perfect 10-0 against Hinckley-Big Rock since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Norsemen will challenge the Royals at 6:30 p.m. Newark will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Newark was able to grind out a solid win over Indian Creek, taking the game 2-0.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Hergenhahn, who had seven digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Hinckley-Big Rock unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Aurora Central Catholic.

Hinckley-Big Rock's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Newark, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.

Newark beat Hinckley-Big Rock 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Norsemen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
