Football Recap: Capistrano Valley's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

There was early excitement for Capistrano Valley after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Crean Lutheran who ended up claiming the real prize. The match between the Cougars and the Saints didn't end well, with the Cougars falling 23-6. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Crean Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Bey, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. Those 137 rushing yards gave Bey a new career-high. Dillon Booth was another key player, gaining 122 total yards and a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Capistrano Valley fell to 2-1. As for Crean Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Capistrano Valley has already played their next game, a 35-14 victory against Aliso Niguel on the 12th. As for Crean Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 34-0 win against El Modena on the 12th.
