Volleyball Recap: Rodriguez Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Rodriguez had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Amador Buffaloes by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Rodriguez sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 8-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-12.

Amador's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rodriguez will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sacramento at 6:30 p.m. on September 8. As for Amador, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Golden Sierra at 6:00 p.m. The Buffaloes are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
