Gwynn Park has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Gwynn Park took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 60-16 win over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North. The win was just what Gwynn Park needed coming off of a 57-30 loss in their prior contest.
Gwynn Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Mason , who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Mason. Another player making a difference was Davis Geormaya, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South earned a 49-37 win over Ballou on Friday. The win was just what Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South needed coming off of a 58-10 defeat in their prior game.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Amaya Johnson out in front who scored 15 points. Jaedyn Mcdaniel was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Gwynn Park now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
