Football Recap: Justin 'Juju' Bonner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Spanish Fort over Theodore + How To Watch

After flying high against Fairhope last Thursday, Spanish Fort came back down to earth. The Toros fell 28-17 to the Theodore Bobcats on Friday. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Toros couldn't quite close it out.

Spanish Fort's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin 'JuJu' Bonner, who rushed for 113 yards on only 14 carries.

Kendrick Able Jr. was nothing short of spectacular for Theodore: he rushed for 143 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. What's more, Able Jr. posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Crishon Overton helped out on the ground, rushing for 93 yards.

Spanish Fort's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Theodore, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Spanish Fort will challenge rival Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Theodore is set to take on their familiar foe McGill-Toolen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
