After a string of six wins, Fossil Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Aledo Bearcats by a score of 55-52. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-39 back in December of 2024.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Aledo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-11.

Fossil Ridge and Aledo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Fossil Ridge will face off against Chisholm Trail at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 306 places (77 vs. 383). Meanwhile, Aledo (ranked 175th) will meet Saginaw (ranked 613th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
