Basketball Recap: Pullman Takes a Loss

Pullman lost against Freeman back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pullman Greyhounds fell 60-53 to the Freeman Scotties. While the Greyhounds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Scotties 19-15 in the first quarter.

Leading Freeman to victory were Taylee Phelps and Rylee Russell. Phelps dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards, while Russell went 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with seven assists and five boards. The game was Phelps' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Pecht, who posted six points.

Pullman now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Freeman, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Pullman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-52 win against Cheney on the 19th. As for Freeman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-37 victory against Liberty on the 20th.
