Volleyball Game Preview: Southern Nash Firebirds vs. Hunt Warriors

Southern Nash hasn't had much luck against Hunt recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Firebirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Southern Nash is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, Southern Nash beat Fike 3-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hunt, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Southern Wayne with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hunt took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Hunt's win came from a few key players Southern Nash will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Savannah Comstock, who had 24 assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Hunt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Hunt's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Southern Nash, their win bumped their record up to 14-0.

Everything went Southern Nash's way against Hunt when the teams last played on September 4th, as Southern Nash made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Firebirds repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
