Basketball Recap: Dawson Takes a Loss

Dawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Klondike Cougars 68-25. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1437th, while the Cougars are ranked 663rd).

Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Klondike, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Dawson will take on Sands at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Klondike, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Klondike Cougars duke it out with the Grady Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
