Olympic waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Berry Cardinals get on the board and left with a 28-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Cardinals are ranked 302nd).

Bryce Nixon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 182 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Chance Cato also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Olympic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berry only rushed for 53.

Olympic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Conner Lewis and Kenyan White. White has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 13 times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Olympic's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Berry, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Olympic is set to challenge their familiar foe Hickory Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Berry will square off against rival Cox Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
