Baseball Game Preview: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls

The Okeechobee Brahmans are taking a road trip to square off against the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Okeechobee fell victim to Vero Beach and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The defeat continues a trend for the Brahmans in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, LaBelle unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Evangelical Christian by a score of 5-4.

LaBelle saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Murray, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Jackson Perkins also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Okeechobee's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for LaBelle, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Okeechobee beat LaBelle 11-6 in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Will the Brahmans repeat their success, or do the Cowboys/Cowgirls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
