Volleyball Recap: Kira Figger and Kinze Grizzell Secure Win for Macksville

Macksville won the last time they faced Deerfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (71-69) Macksville actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Macksville was led to victory by Kinze Grizzell and Kira Figger. Grizzell had 13 digs, while Figger had five kills and four digs. Those five kills gave Figger a new career-high.

Macksville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Macksville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Deerfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Macksville will welcome Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deerfield, they will be playing at home against Moscow on Thursday.
