Softball Game Preview: Northwest Webster Cougars vs. West Bend-Mallard Wolverines

The Northwest Webster Cougars will face off against the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Northwest Webster came up short against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire and fell 6-3. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, West Bend-Mallard lost 10-1 to Sioux Central on Friday.

West Bend-Mallard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Northwest Webster, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Northwest Webster's way against West Bend-Mallard in their previous matchup back in June of 2020, as Northwest Webster made off with a 20-0 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
