Preview: LaCrosse Leopards vs. Ingalls Bulldogs
The LaCrosse Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Ingalls Bulldogs on Friday. Hopefully LaCrosse focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
Last Monday, LaCrosse was able to grind out a solid win over Ashland, taking the game 41-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for LaCrosse.
LaCrosse found their leader in underclassman Madison Morgan, who scored 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Morgan has scored at least 25% of LaCrosse's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Thielenhaus, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Ingalls on the road against Deerfield on Monday as the squad secured a 65-27 victory. With that win, Ingalls brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.
Ingalls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Bailey, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jill Schmeeckle, who scored 13 points.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: LaCrosse's win pushed their record up to 2-0, while Ashland's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
