Baseball Recap: Rancho San Juan Takes a Loss

Rancho San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Half Moon Bay Cougars. If the Trailblazers were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rancho San Juan now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Half Moon Bay, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho San Juan will take on Alisal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alisal's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Rancho San Juan's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Half Moon Bay, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Half Moon Bay Cougars challenge Terra Nova Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terra Nova will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Half Moon Bay surely won't give up without a fight.
