Baseball Recap: De Leon Takes a Loss

De Leon blew Winters out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Winters got their revenge. The Bearcats fell just short of the Blizzards by a score of 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bearcats have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Adam Perez and Max Jones did some serious damage despite the final result: Perez went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Jones went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Jones is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trenton Zmeskal, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

De Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Winters, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7-1.

As of now, neither De Leon nor the Blizzards have any future games scheduled.
