Soccer Game Preview: Tennyson vs. Alameda

Tennyson hasn't had much luck against Alameda recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tennyson Lancers will square off against the Alameda Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Tennyson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

On Friday, Tennyson made easy work of Encinal and carried off an 8-1 win. Juan Barragan was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Alameda hasn't lost a match since January 11th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Neither they nor Mt. Eden could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. That draw made it three straight for the Hornets.

Alameda's draw makes their record 11-3-3 this season. As for Tennyson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4-3.

Tennyson came up short against Alameda when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Tennyson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
