Soccer Recap: Burbank Find Success

Burbank kept a clean sheet against Taft on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Taft Toreadors 1-0. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Toreadors are ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Burbank's one-goal win came courtesy of Aram Hovanessian, who's now up to four this season.

Burbank has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matchups. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Burbank wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Oaks Christian on the 14th. As for Taft, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Royal on the 14th.
