Baseball Recap: Logan Shepherd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Danbury over Lakota

Danbury lost against Lakota back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lakers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lakers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Danbury saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Shepherd, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Danbury's record is now 5-9. As for Lakota, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danbury will square off against New Riegel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakota, they will face off against Arcadia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
