Volleyball Recap: Mia Romero and Pearson Noone Secure Win for Cy-Fair

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cy-Fair had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bellaire Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

While Cy-Fair won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 26-24.

Cy-Fair was led to victory by Pearson Noone and Mia Romero. Noone had 25 digs and three aces, while Romero had 25 assists and four digs. Those 25 assists gave Romero a new career-high.

Cy-Fair has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-20 record this season. As for Bellaire, with the defeat, they broke their 12-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-14.

As of now, neither Cy-Fair nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
