            Baseball Recap: Esperanza Aztecs vs. Reno Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            Esperanza's game  last Saturday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Reno Huskies  5-4.
 River Sanchez tossed a big game,   pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Adam Tway, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bishop Thomas, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Esperanza  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .516. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Esperanza's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Reno,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 7-4 record.
 When Esperanza and Reno next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Esperanza will try to stop Cajon's six-game winning streak when they meet  at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Reno will  square off against  Summit and their three-game winning streak  at 10:30  a.m.  on Tuesday.
