Baseball Recap: Oostburg's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Oostburg was forced to take a big defeat against they last Monday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ozaukee Warriors a 6-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Flying Dutchmen: when they faced off against the Warriors last Monday, they had to take a 13-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Caeden Steuerwald, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Oostburg: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Mills, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Oostburg's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Ozaukee, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Coming up, Oostburg will venture away from home to take on Horicon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ozaukee, they will welcome Cedar Grove-Belgium at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
