Soccer Game Preview: West Fork vs. Pasadena

The West Fork Gators will challenge the Pasadena Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Fork took a four-goal loss the last time they faced off against Kingwood Park, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Gators' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given West Fork's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 657th, while Kingwood Park are ranked 296th).

Meanwhile, Pasadena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Crosby.

Pasadena's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for West Fork, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 4-7-2.

West Fork came up short against Pasadena in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 6-4. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
