Baseball Recap: Banning Triumphs

Banning's tournament run continued when they took on Fontana on Saturday. The Banning Broncos came out on top against the Fontana Steelers by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Joe Clark was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Osornio, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Banning was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fontana only posted a batting average of .217.

Banning now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fontana, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Banning didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-6 victory against Big Bear on the 10th. As for Fontana, they will face off against Patriot at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fontana is facing Patriot at the right time seeing as Patriot is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
