Basketball Recap: Lehigh Valley Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Anders Heiney and Davien Orozco

Lehigh Valley Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 50-42 to the Renaissance Academy Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 68-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Lehigh Valley Academy had strong showings from Davien Orozco, who posted 18 points, and Anders Heiney, who had 12 points.

Lehigh Valley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Renaissance Academy, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

When Lehigh Valley Academy and Renaissance Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lehigh Valley Academy will try to stop Lincoln Leadership Academy's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Renaissance Academy will try to stop The Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
