League recap: Rossville extends winning streak with victory over Mission Valley

Adding to the longest winning streak in Mid-East this week, Rossville beat Mission Valley 35-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Silver Lake took down Pleasant Ridge 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cody Renfro ran for 137 yards during the win.

Tucker Horak was a passing and rushing force as Rossville bested the Vikings. He completed 2 passes for 19 yards and also ran for 184 yards. Horak's favorite target this week was Devin Morris, who caught 2 passes for 19 yards.

Jace Freeman was the best receiver in the league this week as the Eagles defeated the Rams. Freeman tallied 3 receptions for 65 yards. Isaac Pridey helped Silver Lake's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 24 yards.

Derick Hammes' team's Horak needs only 58 yards against Council Grove next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Horak has rushed for 942 yards on 119 carries so far this year.

Wabaunsee and Northern Heights played the closest game in the league this week, with Wabaunsee eventually emerging with a 21-18 victory. Ethan Miller ran for 163 yards in the win.
