Softball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood lost to Glenbard South back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels came up short against the Raiders, falling 16-5. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexandra Chaparro and Mikaela Irizarry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chaparro went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Irizarry went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Nordgren, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Ridgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Glenbard South, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgewood will face off against Fenton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Glenbard South, they will take on West Chicago at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
