Basketball Recap: Stockton Comes Up Short

Stockton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sparta Trojans. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Sparta, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Stockton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marionville at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Sparta has already played their next matchup, a 43-37 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 28th.
