Softball Recap: East Hampton Has No Trouble Against Morgan

East Hampton won the last time they faced Morgan and things went their way on Friday too. The Bellringers blew past the Huskies 16-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bellringers.

The team relied heavily on Shea Gaughran, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Neha Sidana, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

East Hampton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

East Hampton's record is now 7-11. As for Morgan, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the defeat, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, East Hampton will challenge North Branford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Thunderbirds will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bellringers surely won't give up without a fight. Morgan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
