Beauregard and Elmore County are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2023, but likely not for long. The Hornets will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Elmore County will be up against a hot Beauregard squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Hornets never let Valley get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Hornets have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Elmore County hadn't beaten Dadeville on the road since May 3, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Lalah Culpepper made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Culpepper was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Hicks, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Baileigh Ames also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Elmore County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Beauregard's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Elmore County, their record now sits at 14-10.

Beauregard came out on top in a nail-biter against Elmore County in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
