Baseball Recap: Carencro Comes Up Short

Carencro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Southside Sharks, falling 12-4. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Sharks from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Carencro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Cormier, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Carencro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Southside, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-1 record this season.

While Carencro had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
