Basketball Recap: Charles J. Colgan Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Woodbridge came into Friday's match looking for another win against Charles J. Colgan, but Mariah Barksdale wouldn't allow it. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Charles J. Colgan Sharks made off with a 52-51 win over the Woodbridge Vikings thanks in part to Barksdale, who went 9 for 18 on her way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave her a new career-high.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoey Coffer, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maia Melendez, who posted 18 points.

Charles J. Colgan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Woodbridge, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
