Football Recap: Midfield Takes a Loss

Midfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Gordo Green Wave 56-20. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Green Wave are ranked 96th).

Midfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gordo, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Midfield will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Phil Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Gordo, they will face off against Pickens County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
