Caden Lounsbury gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. He was unstoppable, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Madison is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-10 otherwise.

Lounsbury's strong effort led Madison over Owen and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are a perfect 10-0 against the Warhorses going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
