Basketball Recap: Fort Hancock Starts off Right with Win over Fort Davis

Fort Hancock took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Fort Davis Indians 71-11. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-8.

Patrick Hernandez went supernova, shooting 47% from the field en route to 21 points and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Inaki Arriaga, who put up six points and ten steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fort Hancock is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Jesus Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Davis, they will head out to take on Sanderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
