Basketball Recap: McCutcheon Mavericks vs. Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos
After flying high against Seeger last Saturday, McCutcheon came back down to earth. The McCutcheon Mavericks lost 68-46 to the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Bronchos are ranked 28th).

When it comes to explaining why McCutcheon lost, don't look at Brody Baker. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points. Baker has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Souligne, who put up nine points.
