Soccer Recap: Point Loma Finishes Even with Cathedral Catholic

Point Loma had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and the Cathedral Catholic Dons finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Pointers have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Point Loma's draw gives them a new season record of 4-5-2. As for Cathedral Catholic, they moved theirs to 3-6-2.

Point Loma and Cathedral Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Point Loma (ranked 316th) will meet St. Augustine (ranked 34th) at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Cathedral Catholic will face off against Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 281 places (407 vs. 126).
