Casteel faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Colts fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Casteel took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-17, 18-25, 21-25, 25-12, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Casteel saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Will Schneiderman had 15 digs and four assists. Schneiderman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Lucas Ogden had a dynamite game For Highland., getting 15 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Ogden has posted since back in April.

Casteel's defeat dropped their record down to 30-12-1. As for Highland, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 32-9-1.

Casteel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Perry on the 17th.
