Girard and Lakeview are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2021, but not for long. The Indians will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Girard needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Chloe Plant. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Cardinal Mooney on Wednesday with plenty of help from Plant, who had three digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Girard never let Cardinal Mooney on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-11, 25-17.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Girard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fiona Allen, who had seven kills and two aces. Keely Meszaros was another key player, getting six kills, three digs, and two aces.
They weren't the only good server: Girard was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lakeview made easy work of Struthers on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-6.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Girard, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
