Football Game Preview: Riverside Beavers vs. South Rebels + How To Watch

Riverside is 8-2 against South since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Beavers will host the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Riverside's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.

On Friday, Riverside made easy work of North and carried off a 42-21 win. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won eight in a row.

Kyndall McCaleb had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 174 yards and two scores on only 15 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Riverside's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Spencer Short was in the mix as well, providing the Beavers with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Riverside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, South ended up a good deal behind Chardon on Friday and lost 41-23.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Riverside beat South 35-28 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
